I have enjoyed millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of funds at blackjack. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get loaded with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a match of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!

I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original sum.

I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a few years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a couple of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be aghast at the runs you see playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.

Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first $5 wager

Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10

Bet $10
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet

Bet 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of $20

Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 wager

Wager $20
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Wager eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 1 hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
