Blackjack is a game that somehow reminds me of a roller coaster. It is a game that starts off slowly, but gradually gains speed. As you grow your bank roll, you feel like you are getting to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom drops.

Blackjack is so akin to a rollercoaster the similarities are bizarre. As with the popular fair experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will appear to be going well for awhile before it bottoms out yet again. You must be a bettor who can readjust to the ups … downs of the game given that the game of black jack is packed full of them.

If you like the little coaster, a coaster that doesn’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the rollercoaster ride is with a much bigger bet, then jump aboard for the ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big money player will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he or she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that is all lovely, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to toss and turn, you had better get out in a hurry.

If you do not, you will not necessarily recall how much you enjoyed the view while your bank roll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a thrilling ride and your head in the stratosphere. As you are recalling "what ifs", you won’t recount how "high up" you went but you will quickly remember that mortifying fall as clear as day.
